YC2 Participants Select Teen Mental Health as Grantmaking Focus

Participants in YC2, the Foundation’s youth philanthropy initiative, are now mid-way through the program. Students have been schooled on the basics of philanthropic theory, ethics, and grantmaking, and have recently selected teen mental health as their funding focus. This selection directly aligns with one of the Foundation’s funding priorities: to promote good mental and behavioral health, in order to reduce stigma and treat youth and adults in need.
The Foundation recently released an RFP soliciting grant proposals from any CMF grantee organization that addresses teen mental health through its mission or programming. Grant applications are due on March 10th; students will ultimately award up to $15,000 in general operating support to further the mission and vision of Community Memorial Foundation.
