Creating Transformational Leaders: 2016 Ladder to Leadership Cohort

REGIONAL HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES AGENDA PROFILE

Community Memorial Foundation graduated its 2016 Ladder to Leadership cohort at the La Grange Country Club on January 11th. Developed by the Center for Creative Leadership, Ladder to Leadership is a 16-month training program for emerging non-profit leaders. It uses training sessions, mentorship and action learning projects to improve the skill sets of these individuals and, in turn, bolster their organizations and the communities they serve. The 2016 cohort included 16 fellows from various CMF grantee organizations.

Ladder to Leadership is one of the Foundation’s key capacity building initiatives. It also represents an important step toward nurturing the development of leaders that are well-trained, service-oriented, and reflect the diversity of our communities — a Value of the Regional Health and Human Services Agenda. Says 2016 Fellow April Dislers, “This journey, making the entire region become healthy, starts with one person at a time.”
