OUR WORK

Resources

Becoming the healthiest region means that we have an understanding of our diverse community and that we can access high-quality health and human services. In our role as educator, the Foundation hosts a series of resources aimed at promoting community self-awareness, health data sharing, and stigma-free mental health services.

The Foundation has partnered with Healthy Communities Foundation and UIC’s Great Cities Institute on a report chronicling the growing Latino community in the Western Suburbs. Visit the interactive report microsite, with custom demographic and socioeconomic profiles of 36 west suburban communities, including data on population growth, healthcare access and more.

The Foundation hosts a data platform that provides continually updated health, economic and quality-of-life information specific to our geographic service area. These analytics can be used to prioritize community needs and track progress against nationally and locally-defined targets.

The Foundation has also compiled a series of mental health resources, including information about Mental Health First Aid training and a guide to local behavioral health providers.
