Charlie Corrigan Appointed as President and CEO of Community Memorial Foundation

The Board of Directors of Community Memorial Foundation (CMF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Charlie Corrigan as the Foundation’s next President and Chief Executive Officer, effective September 15.

A native of the western suburbs, Mr. Corrigan brings extensive experience in philanthropy and a deep understanding of the region. Prior to this appointment, he served as Executive Director for the Midwest U.S. and Canada at the JPMorgan Chase Foundation.

“As a fellow grantmaker, I have long respected Community Memorial Foundation’s dedication to serving diverse communities—not only through its impactful work but also through its kind, collaborative approach to partnership,” said Corrigan. “I am honored to have the opportunity to advance this important legacy.”

Mr. Corrigan’s expertise encompasses place-based philanthropic initiatives, including affordable and supportive housing and access to mental and behavioral health services—areas that closely align with CMF’s mission. He has also been instrumental in the development and implementation of large-scale equity-focused programs, such as the Fund for Equitable Business Growth and the Entrepreneurs of Color Fund.

Dr. Bonny Chen, Chair of the CMF Board of Directors, stated, “Charlie’s leadership and dedication to our region are invaluable assets to the Foundation. His approach embodies the values of kindness, hope, and empathy that are central to our work.”

Mr. Corrigan will collaborate closely with current leadership to ensure a smooth transition and continued momentum toward fostering healthier, stronger, and more equitable communities throughout the region.
