An Anniversary Update

We’re thinking INSIDE the box for our October 29th celebration

Friends and Partners,

2020 has been a year like none other. Like you, the Foundation has needed to remain nimble in our response to the COVID-19 pandemic, while continuing to advance our mission of building a healthy region.

For 25 years, the health and safety of our communities has been the utmost priority; and because of this, we feel it is most prudent to re-envision our 25th Anniversary Celebration, slated for October 29th. The celebration will no longer be held as a group gathering at La Grange Country Club. Instead, we plan to honor our treasured grantee partnerships with a drive-through celebration.

All current CMF grantee organizations are invited to a “Gratitude Drive” on October 29th. Foundation board and staff will be on-hand to distribute a treasure for your staff, in celebration of your achievements and in appreciation for the many ways in which you are navigating this challenging time. More details are forthcoming, and accommodations will be made for organizations who are unable attend in-person.

While we are disappointed that we cannot celebrate as a larger community, we have always intended to use our anniversary year as an opportunity to strengthen and acknowledge our grantee partners. Throughout Community Memorial Foundation’s 25-year history, we have invested more than $78 million dollars in organizations that serve our communities day in, day out, in ways that are nothing short of transformational. It is in this spirit that we will celebrate on October 29th.

With gratitude,

The CMF team
