Be the One to Help this Suicide Prevention Month

September is Suicide Prevention Month and the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline has initiated a campaign encouraging each of us to Be the 1 To share action steps and resources for loved ones in crisis. Learn more and take action here.

The Foundation and its partners continue our commitment to promote behavioral health and treat those in need. Please visit the mental health resources on our website, including a list of behavioral health providers serving our region. Programs like The Living Room in La Grange and Broadview are open 7 days a week, and provide responsive care to individuals in need of mental health support. Services are free of charge, and you can walk in or call ahead. If you or a loved one are in crisis, please call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255 or text NOW to 741741 to reach a trained Crisis Text Line counselor.

Now Accepting Applications for Executive Coaching

Community Memorial Foundation supports an executive coaching program to help leaders improve their existing capabilities, set meaningful goals and be accountable for results. All executive directors/CEOs from organizations that have received a grant from the Foundation in the past five years are eligible for this opportunity. Interested individuals must complete an application and, if selected, will meet with an executive coach on a regular basis (up to 36 hours) over the course of one year.

Up to six executive directors will be selected for the program. Applicants are chosen based on their commitment to actively participate in the coaching process and the executive director’s potential to be a catalyst for positive change in their organization.
