With Grateful Hearts and Steadfast Hands

“There shall be eternal summer in the grateful heart.” – Celia Thaxter

The temperature may be falling but, at Community Memorial Foundation, our hearts are warm with gratitude.  Day in, day out, our community partners provide us with countless reasons to be thankful.  Whether providing a meal for a neighbor in need or welcoming a guest into The Living Room, they inspire us with their steadfast hands and generous hearts.

As we reflect on 2016, the Foundation would like to say thank you…

…for doing work that matters

…for leading by example

…for your strength, courage and conviction,

…and for your continued commitment to making this region the healthiest in the country.

With warm wishes for a New Year that is full of hope, promise and fulfillment,

The board & staff of Community Memorial Foundation

4.1 Million Reasons to be Thankful: the Leadership Challenge Grant’s Community Investment

REGIONAL HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES AGENDA PROFILE

Community Memorial Foundation’s Together for Health matching grant culminated on November 16th, when the Foundation celebrated the accomplishments of over 50 grantee organizations who cumulatively generated a more than $4 million dollar investment into our community.

The matching grant opportunity is one way that CMF is working to create transformational leadership in health and human services (a Value of the Regional Health and Human Services Agenda).  To highlight the critical role that board members (as well as former board members, advisory board members and standing committee members) play in the financial health and sustainability of their organizations, CMF provided up to a $9,500 match on new or increased donations from these individuals, provided that they also sponsored a similar $9,500 match on new or increased donations to their organizations.

This major community investment was only made possible by leveraging the generosity of our community with the leadership of our grantee partners. In this season of gratitude, Community Memorial Foundation wishes to thank all those who made this effort possible.  Thanks, 4.1 million.
